Reference style APA

You can justify the information you have found by noting the sources. To do this, you use a reference style. A reference style is a set of rules you have to follow to refer to sources. By describing sources in a uniform way, you and everyone else can easily look them up.

This LibraryGuide contains many references to the APA style. This is the most widely used reference style at Saxion.

All information you have found in other publications can be (re)used for your research. Not only information from books and journal articles, but also information retrieved from websites.
There is just one very important and vital condition: You must always cite the source to make transparent where you've found the information!

In this LibraryGuide you learn how to (re)use (scientific) information correctly.

You will learn to pay attention to copyright laws and how to prevent plagiarism. You will also learn how and when to quote and paraphrase from other sources. In addition, you will discover how you can collect and use literature references.
